Snow Anyone?

Our backyard from our family room

Today was Monroe School District's second snow day and tomorrow's school day was cancelled by 4pm this afternoon. Yes! I feel like a kid again in that "no school" at this time of year is a really good thing. Unfortunately, in June, I won't have the same attitude. However, that's many months away so I won't worry about that right now. Meanwhile, I'm getting caught up with my grading and have wrapped all my gifts.

It snowed several inches here in Bothell and more in other areas. The temperature is going down tonight and will stay low during the next several days so the snow isn't going anywhere. It's absolutely beautiful, so quiet and peaceful.

Our feathered friend, a Junco visiting our pond.

As usual, our wonderful neighbors got everyone out for hot cocoa tonight on the Moore's driveway. Nothing fancy, just a fun gathering with cocoa, marshmallows, whip cream, sprinkles, and little kids! We've lived in our neighborhood for almost 40 years and continue to be blessed with warm and wonderful neighbors.

Our memories of good times go back to the Fairweathers, Cluetts, Warners, McMurrays, Kreutzburgs, Hollabaughs, Harris, Smiths, Ottingers, and others whose names escape me now -- Bob and I are still here along with Donna and Nikki Smith and Marilyn Ottinger. But the neighborhood continues to be just as fun and friendly as ever.
